Oberon Zell

Oberon Zell (born 11/30/42) has accomplished many things in his long and colorful career. A modern Renaissance man, Oberon is a transpersonal psychologist, metaphysician, naturalist, theologian, shaman, author, artist, sculptor, lecturer, teacher, and ordained Priest of the Earth-Mother, Gaia. Those who know him well consider him to be a true Wizard in the traditional sense. He is also an initiate in the Egyptian Church of the Eternal Source, a Priest in the Fellowship of Isis, and an initiate in several different Traditions of Witchcraft. He holds academic degrees in sociology, anthropology, clinical psychology, teaching, and theology.

Wizardry School: Restoring the Wonder

Once upon a time, education was imbued with a mystique of learning arcane lore and forbidden knowledge. The earliest schools were schools of Wizardry—such as Plato’s Academy in Athens, and the Pythagorean Mystery School. Today there are many correspondence courses and online schools of Witchcraft, Magick, and Wizardry. What do such schools have to offer that cannot be found in the public education system? And is it really possible to learn magick online? What are the differences between Witches, Magicians, and Wizards—and what kind of training do they each require? Learn about the colors associated with each of the Wizards’ paths. What color of Wizardry are you most attracted to, and how can you go about learning it?

Since the early ‘90s, Oberon has been addressing the needs and concerns of the next generation, resulting in his Grimoire for the Apprentice Wizard (2004) and Companion for the Apprentice Wizard (2006). He created the online Grey School of Wizardry in 2004 to continue these studies. The Grey School’s 30 teachers offer 350 classes in 16 Departments for students of all ages. Headmaster Oberon will present how all this came to be, where it is going, and how you can be part of it.
